Big Mac Casserole

Attention Big Mac lovers! Fancy a Big Mac, but not in the carbohydrates and sugars? Then try this low-carb Big Mac casserole. This delicious casserole with minced meat, onion, cheese, pickles and herbs is inspired by the Big Mac from McDonalds.

We served the seasoned minced meat on a bed of iceberg lettuce and not in a sandwich. As a result, a serving contains 84% less carbohydrates than a Big Mac that you buy at McDonalds. In addition to a salad, you can also serve a delicious sauce with the oven dish. We tried to recreate the Big Mac sauce with mayonnaise, Greek yogurt and various spices. It is of course not the only real Big Mac sauce, but it comes pretty close.

All in all, this casserole is a tasty and low-carb alternative to the Big Mac! Tips: You can serve this Big Mac casserole with iceberg lettuce for lunch or as a main course at dinner. You can replace the mayonnaise in the sauce recipe with yogurt mayonnaise or Greek yogurt. As a result, the sauce contains less fat, but the taste can change slightly.

You can keep the oven dish in the fridge for up to 2 days after preparation. Let us know how it tasted by posting a comment at the bottom of the page.
